2013 LIVESTRONG Assembly
Welcome! Thank you for participating in the 2013 LIVESTRONG Assembly. We’ll see you February 27—March 1 in Chicago.
The inaugural Assembly in 2011 connected our program partners to the donors who fund them and recognized individuals, both programmatic partners and donors, who make our work possible.
Now in its third year, the LIVESTRONG Assembly aims to promote the collaboration and exchange of ideas among the Foundation's most important partners, advisors and constituents through small group meetings, presentations and social gatherings. This event will highlight our collective achievements and provide the Foundation’s programmatic partners with the unique opportunity to connect with the individuals who advocate on behalf of the 28 million living with cancer.
What's Happening and Special Events
More than 10 partner groups will meet throughout the LIVESTRONG Assembly, working on tactical plans and 2013 initiatives in their respective areas. We will also host a variety of elective, collaborative activities including:
- State of the Foundation lunch on Thursday: participants will hear from LIVESTRONG Foundation President and CEO Doug Ulman
- Taste of Chicago dinner on Thursday night: enjoy the company of your fellow attendees
- Collaborative Mission meeting on Friday morning: all groups will join to network with one another and learn how everyone contributes to the success of our mission

Located at the intersection of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, the Swissotel serves as the host hotel for the 2013 LIVESTRONG Assembly. Guests will experience a unique showcase of international style and downtown sophistication, offering a virtual city tour including some of Chicago’s finest landmarks. They will be able to discover the architectural sites for which the city is known and browse the extraordinary stores located along the Magnificent Mile.
For Foundation sponsored attendees, flight itineraries are generated based upon individual travel preferences. During the registration process attendees were asked to input preferred airport(s), airline and flight times. Hotels for Hope, in partnership with the Foundation, will make every effort to secure air transportation based on these parameters. Confirmation of flight itinerary will be emailed within 48 hours of request.
