Join Team LIVESTRONG to compete in one of the top triathlons in the country. Whether you are a seasoned triathlete or looking for the ultimate endurance challenge, being part of this team will mean something more than a finisher's medal.
You will help to improve the lives of those affected by cancer and their families by raising critical funds for the Foundation’s programs and services for cancer survivors. If you already have a race entry, you can still join the team and raise funds for the fight against cancer

Join the Wait List.
Our allotment of entries for this race have sold out. We have begun a Wait List for athletes that are still interested. In the event that someone can no longer participate, athletes from the Wait List will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in being placed on the Wait List, please email TeamLIVESTRONG@LIVESTRONG.org and you will receive a reply with your place on the list. You will be responsible for the $50 registration fee as well as the $2,000 fundraising commitment if you are accepted onto the team.
What does my Team LIVESTRONG registration include?
- Guaranteed race entry to the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon on March 3, 2013
- Nike Team LIVESTRONG tri top, Nike Dri-fit cap and a fuel belt
- A personalized fundraising website and fundraising tools to help you reach your goals
- Promotional materials (LIVESTRONG wristbands, banners, posters)
- One-on-one support from LIVESTRONG staff
- Celebration party the weekend of the race
What is my commitment to Team LIVESTRONG?
- Commitment to fundraise $2,000 minimum
- Responsibility to represent the mission of LIVESTRONG in training and fundraising: to inspire and empower those affected by cancer
- NOTE: Fundraising must be completed by Wednesday, February 27, 2013 or your race entry will be withheld and you will not participate in the race
- We are also accepting team members who have secured their own entries. There is no fundraising minimum and at $750 in fundraising you will receive the Team LIVESTRONG gear and access to race weekend activities.
