LIVESTRONG Survivorship Centers of Excellence
SURVIVORSHIP CENTERS
The Network is a collaborative effort of LIVESTRONG, cancer centers at leading medical institutions and their community affiliates to:
- Provide essential direct survivorship services
- Increase the effectiveness of survivorship care through research, the development of new interventions and sharing of best practices
Through regular meetings, working groups and joint projects, the Network seeks to harness the expertise, experience, creativity and productivity of leading centers in an effort to significantly accelerate progress in the field of cancer survivorship.
SELECTION OF NETWORK MEMBERS
LIVESTRONG Survivorship Center of Excellence Network members are selected by a LIVESTRONG-appointed steering committee through a closed RFP, competitive review process.
Network members are eligible to receive up to $250,000 per year for five years from LIVESTRONG to support the development and operation of programs designed specifically to meet the needs of cancer survivors. Additional funding is available for up to three community-based affiliates per center.
