Your Role in Our Mission

Comprehensive management, including planning, execution and analysis of all event related operations for all LIVESTRONG produced fundraising events. This is to include: galas, golf tournaments, stewardship events and other events that may arise.

• Be a LIVESTRONG ambassador and speak to our mission, culture and core values.
• Comprehensive management, including planning and execution of all event related operations
• Assist with development of strategic growth plan for future of Development and Programmatic events
• Manage Event production budgets for all events
• Collaborate with communications/marketing team on various marketing and communication pieces as they relate to event promotion and participation
• Work closely with various internal LAF departments as it relates to their involvement and participation in events
• Meticulous and detailed approach to all logistics and operational planning for events
• A “hands-on” approach to event day management
• Provide direction to and manage all aspects of vendor operations including contract oversight, event production and execution, invoice reconciliation and management of event production vendor
• Oversight of the volunteer management program as it relates to the functional execution of the LIVESTRONG Challenge

• Knowledge of nonprofit sector with a passion for the LIVESTRONG mission
• Motivated by service, humility and compassion for helping people
• Possess a creative and innovative approach to work
• Embrace change and move forward in a positive and meaningful way
• Act as a generalist and perform tasks and functions in many areas
• Able to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across departments and teams
• Success in project management and event management with seven to 10 years of related experience
• Expert producing and managing large scale and high profile events
• Must be able to analyze, track, and report progress of event metrics
• Problem-solving competency and an established track record in implementing solutions to unanticipated business problems
• Strong leadership skills and relationship-building skills are required
• Communicate effectively in person and in writing
• Effective and organized self-starter
• Bachelor’s degree required
