Travis County Transportation Volunteers
The LIVESTRONG Foundation has teamed up with local nonprofit Faith in Action Caregivers and car2go to launch a volunteer-based transportation program for cancer patients in Travis County.
The LIVESTRONG Transportation Program will provide free transportation to cancer-related appointments in the Austin metropolitan area to those in need. Passionate individuals like you are essential to making this program a success. Volunteer drivers are needed to ensure that cancer patients make it to both medical and non-medical cancer-related appointments.
car2go is making this opportunity even more convenient for you to donate your time. car2go is providing the use of their vehicles at no cost to volunteer drivers for providing rides as part of this program. If interested, first apply to become a volunteer driver for the LIVESTRONG Transporation Program. You will be provided further instructions after attending a training session.
If you live in Travis County, you can make a difference. If you have a valid driver license, current automobile insurance meeting Texas state liability minimums, and have access to a safe reliable vehicle, please fill out our volunteer driver application. All eligible applicants will be invited to a training session.
