The 21st Century Cancer ALERT Act modernizes the way our Nation is addressing this disease and refocuses our approach to cancer prevention and detection, research and treatment. The legislation includes prevention and screening initiatives that will increase access to care for underserved populations and reduce the burden of disease and cost of healthcare to the Nation. The bill fosters innovative initiatives and new technologies such as biomarkers in the hopes of developing new prevention and early detection methods for the deadliest cancers.
