We fight to improve the lives of people affected by cancer
This past June, my friend and former co-worker, Kate Voth, passed away at the age of 27 from Melanoma. She was a passionate runner who displayed the most incredible amount of strength, perseverance, positivity.
She is one of my greatest inspirations, and I miss her fun, spunky personality and the light she brought to lives of those who knew her.
Although I'm not the strongest runner, the the best way I can think to honor Kate is to run for her. In February I will run the Austin Half-Marathon withTeam Kate, the group that raised over $60,000 to improve the lives of those affected by cancer last year.
As part of Team LIVESTRONG, I'm making a difference in the fight against cancer. I've joined with other people around the globe and across different events to raise money for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.
The funds I raise will support programs and services for cancer survivors.
I aim to raise at least $500. Any donation will directly support my run and the cause. Even the smallest amount makes a big difference.
Thank you all so very much.
