We fight to improve the lives of people affected by cancer
My seven-year-old nephew, Sonny
Cohen, was diagnosed in October 2013 with cancer. He has Ewing’s Sarcoma, which is a very
aggressive bone cancer. When the
doctors found it, the cancer was in his left leg and lungs. He has been undergoing chemotherapy and will
also have bone surgery on both legs, followed by more chemotherapy, and
radiation. The good news is that recent
scans show his leg and lung are cancer free!
This is truly fantastic news.
However, his intense treatment plan has not changed.
I decided to create a LIVESTRONG team
in honor of Sonny for the Shamrock race in Virginia Beach. I will be running the half-marathon on March
16, 2014. There is also an 8K distance
and a full marathon. I hope you will
consider joining Team Sonny!
As part of Team LIVESTRONG, I'm making a difference in the fight against cancer. I've joined with other people around the globe and across different events to raise money for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.
The Foundation serves people affected by cancer and empowers them to take action against this disease that is now the world's leading cause of death. LIVESTRONG has become a symbol of hope and inspiration to people affected by cancer around the world.
The money I raise will support programs and services for cancer survivors. These resources help people diagnosed with cancer face the challenges of the disease head on and live life on their own terms. Livestrong.org/WeCanHelp
Please support me as I make a difference in the cancer fight through my participation in Team LIVESTRONG. Thank you!
