Let's be honest...cancer sucks. Everyday I spend my days working with women who have been diagnosed, will be diagnosed, or are scared of being diagnosed with breast cancer. The effects that it has on their lives are sometimes devestating. I have seen such true heroism and bravery, I've been a part of their tears, their joys, their fears, and their fight. Now, I have the chance to fight for them and try to be half the hero that they are to me. I want to tie every mile to a patient that I have had the honor of working with at some point. These women have showed so much strength and courage and when the pressure is on and they can choose to stay and fight or run away they fight and they fight hard. With every surgery, every chemo, every radiation, every time they lose their hair, and every time they redefine their womanhood with dignity they show the world true strength and they are declaring that their life is worth this fight.
As part of Team LIVESTRONG, I'm making a difference in the fight against cancer. I've joined with other people around the globe and across different events to raise money for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.
The Foundation serves people affected by cancer and empowers them to take action against this disease that is now the world's leading cause of death. LIVESTRONG has become a symbol of hope and inspiration to people affected by cancer around the world.
The money I raise will support programs and services for cancer survivors. These resources help people diagnosed with cancer face the challenges of the disease head on and live life on their own terms. Livestrong.org/WeCanHelp
