We fight to improve the lives of people affected by cancer
Hello. My name is Grant McMahon and I am 12 years old. I have been a competitive swimmer since I was 6 years old and I find my greatest happiness in the water. I swim for Chattahoochee Gold Swim Team year round, Grand Cascades for summer league and for my school, Pinecrest Academy.
I lost my Grand-Ma one year ago on September 9th, 2013 to brain and lung cancer. She was my greatest fan and loved to watch me swim. This year will be my fourth year swimming this special open water event near and dear to my heart. Just one week after I lost her, I raised funds in her memory for my annual 5k swim.
I swim not only in my Grand-Ma's memory but for all our family, friends and loved ones who have been effected by cancer. What makes me most sad are the children that suffer from and lose their battle with cancer. I want to make a difference again this year. I swim for everyone that cannot.
Please join me in this fight and support me in this cause so important to me and my family.
Thank you and God Bless.
