Q: What is LIVESTRONG Day?
LIVESTRONG Day is our global day of action to inspire people to join in the global fight against cancer in communities around the world, inspired by our chairman and founder, Lance Armstrong.
Following his diagnosis of advanced testicular cancer on October 2, 1996, before he knew whether he would survive, Lance started his foundation to fight cancer and help others affected by the disease.
This year, LIVESTRONG Day will take place on October 2 to demonstrate that each person can make a difference in the cancer fight.

Q: What should I do as a LIVESTRONG Day event organizer?
LIVESTRONG Day is about doing something to make a difference in the fight against cancer in a way that is meaningful and comfortable to you. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for the cancer fight and to show support for the 28 million cancer survivors worldwide.
On October 2, events and activities of all types will take place around the world in support of cancer survivors and their loved ones. Each LIVESTRONG Day activity will be organized by a volunteer who wants to make a difference in his or her community.
Anyone, anywhere can organize a LIVESTRONG Day bake sale, bike ride, potluck dinner, Wear Yellow Day or ask a government leader to declare October 2 LIVESTRONG Day in your community.
