'THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO' WEARS YELLOW
Audience Wears Live Strong Wristbands and Celebrity Guests Sign Yellow Jersey to Benefit Lance Armstrong Foundation

AUSTIN, Texas - July 22, 2004 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" is demonstrating its support for the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) and Lance Armstrong's historic quest for a sixth straight Tour de France win. Since the beginning of this month, the show staff is distributing Live Strong yellow wristbands to audience members every night. Additionally, show guests are autographing one of Lance Armstrong's yellow Tour de France jerseys, which will be auctioned off on Style.com July 26-August 2. All proceeds will benefit LAF programs that help young people with cancer live strong.

Celebrity signatures on the jersey so far include actor Will Smith, singer Brandy, actor/screenwriter Matt Damon, actress Halle Berry, actor Mark Wahlberg, U.S. Senator John McCain, rock group Sugar Ray, actress/singer Hilary Duff, singer Norah Jones, actress Sharon Stone, Dateline NBC news anchor, Jane Pauley, MSNBC news anchor Chris Matthews, actor Dennis Leary, actor Benjamin Bratt and All-Star Houston Astros pitcher Roger Clemens.

The efforts of "The Tonight Show" support the LAF's ongoing Live Strong campaign. Nike has donated $1 million to the Foundation and is leading efforts to raise an additional $5 million through the sale of yellow wristbands engraved with Lance's mantra, Live Strong. Wristbands are available for $1 each at www.wearyellow.com and select retail and Niketown locations. All proceeds benefit LAF programs that help young people with cancer live strong.
