Volunteer
The LAF relies heavily on volunteers who are committed to our mission. Here are a few ways that you can get involved:
LIVESTRONG Challenge
LIVESTRONG Challenge Volunteers are passionate individuals and groups who are committed to LAF's mission. Volunteers assist with fundraising, generate community awareness and directly support walkers and riders on the day of the LIVESTRONG Challenge. Whether you'd like to be involved year-round or want to help out at the event, there is an opportunity for you to make a difference. Learn more about the LIVESTRONG Challenge.
Advocate
Becoming an advocate for cancer survivorship means letting your voice and the voice of those affected by cancer be heard by lawmakers. By simply writing a letter or making a phone call, you can ask your Members of Congress in Washington, D.C. to support issues that are important to cancer survivors and their loved ones. Community Grantee Volunteer
Volunteering your time with one of our community partners, which are located all over the United States, is a great way to support our cause in your own community. These organizations are funded by the LAF and often work directly with cancer survivors and their loved ones. Please note that these are limited to states where a grantee is located. Office Volunteer
If you reside in or near Austin, Texas, you can volunteer at the LAF office by assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. Office volunteers help keep our administrative costs down and help ensure the LAF's resources can be dedicated to helping people affected by cancer.
Evening & Weekend Volunteer
If you are in the Austin area, but cannot work during regular business hours, you may be added to our list of evening and weekend volunteers. These volunteers are contacted via e-mail when an opportunity arises.
Apply to volunteer or for more information about volunteering, please email volunteers@laf.org or call 512-236-8820.
