VolunteerThe LAF relies heavily on volunteers who are committed to our mission. While our offices are located in Austin, Texas, there are many ways to get involved no matter where you live. You can become a grassroots advocate, fundraiser, or participate in our LIVESTRONG Challenge event series! Here are a few other ways that you can get involved: Intern The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) offers non-paid internships to students interested in gaining experience in a non-profit setting. Interns work directly with an LAF employee in various areas in the organization. Learn more about LAF Internships. Office Volunteer If you live in or near Austin, Texas, you can volunteer at the LAF office by assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. Office volunteers help keep our administrative costs down and help ensure the LAF's resources can be dedicated to helping people affected by cancer. If you're interested in becoming a local office volunteer, please fill out our online application. Evening and Weekend Volunteer If you are in the Austin area but cannot work during regular business hours, you may be added to our list of evening and weekend volunteers. These volunteers are contacted via e-mail when an opportunity arises. If you'd like to be added to our list of local evening and weekend volunteers, please fill out our online application. International Volunteers If you reside outside the USA, stay tuned for information on how you can get involved! Learn more about the LAF's Global Cancer Initiative. |
