Auction Item Program Application

The LIVESTRONG is committed to partnering with organizations in creative ways to benefit people affected by cancer.  Through the Partners in Hope (PIH) program, a non-profit organization can apply for and receive one item signed by Lance Armstrong for silent or live auction at the organization's fundraising event. The goal of PIH is to help organizations that provide support and/or services for cancer survivors.

*PLEASE NOTE: We are currently revising the Partners in Hope Program. At this time, we do note have signed items available. Please email partnersinhope@livestrong.org with any questions, and check back at a later date to find out details about the PIH program. If LIVESTRONG wristbands would assist your program, you may still apply for underwritten wristbands at www.livestrong.org/partnersinyellow.

Program Criteria

To qualify for a signed auction item from LIVESTRONG, the organization must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • The organization must have a 501 (c)(3) IRS status and provide LIVESTRONG with a copy of the determination letter.
  • The organization must provide support and/or services for cancer survivors.
  • Completed applications must be received at least two months prior to the event.
  • Only one signed item per organization per calendar year will be provided. Receipt of an autographed item in previous years does not guarantee subsequent donations.
  • The organization receiving proceeds from the signed item must be the organization applying.  Individuals or
groups raising funds on behalf of an organization are ineligible.
  • The applicant must not be seeking a signed item for grassroots fundraising events sponsored by local chapters of national cancer organizations (i.e., Relay for Life, Light the Night, Team in Training, etc.).
  • Faith-based organizations may qualify as long as their services are available to individuals of all faiths.

LIVESTRONG receives hundreds of auction item requests per year.  Due to the limited number of items available, we are sometimes unable to fulfill all requests even if the organization meets all of the criteria listed above.

Rules

  1. Receipt of a completed application does not guarantee the organization will receive a signed item, as we have a limited number of items available each year.
  2. Selected organizations will receive only one item per calendar year. This helps us in our attempt to help the greatest number of organizations as possible. If the item is lost, stolen or misplaced, LIVESTRONG will be unable to replace it.
  3. LIVESTRONG will provide the national chapter of cancer-related non-profits with one signed item per year. Due to the volume of requests and our limited supply, we are unable to support each individual chapter or local chapter grassroots fundraising events sponsored by these national organizations.
  4. If you are granted a signed item, LIVESTRONG requires a post-event report be returned within 60 days after the event.  If an organization does not submit a post-event report, the organization may be ineligible to receive signed auction items in the future.
  5. Signed items are for charitable fundraising purposes only. Fundraisers to benefit an individual person or families are ineligible.
  6. LIVESTRONG will not accept personal items to be autographed. Due to the volume and frequency of requests, any item received will not be returned.
  7. Auction items may not be resold in any fashion except for fundraising by the applying organization.
