LANCE IN FRANCE SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES 2009

NO CONTRIBUTION OR PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PAYMENT OF ANY KIND OR PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Eligibility. THE LANCE IN FRANCE SWEEPSTAKES ("TRIP GIVEAWAY") IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF NEW YORK) AGE 18 YEARS OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. IF YOU ARE NOT A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE U.S. OR AGE 18 OR OLDER, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE. To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be completed and received by LAF in the format designated below. Directors, officers and employees of LAF and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void in New York, Puerto Rico and where prohibited.

2. Trip Giveaway Period. The Trip Giveaway period is from 9:01 a.m. (Pacific) 5/15/2009 to 11:59 p.m. (Pacific) 6/11/2009 (the "Trip Giveaway Period"). Online entries must be submitted and received by the during the Trip Giveaway Period and mail-in entries must be postmarked during the Trip Giveaway Period and received by 6/15/09 to be eligible to win a prize.

3. Trip Giveaway Sponsor. The sponsor of the Trip Giveaway is the Lance Armstrong Foundation ("LAF"), 2201 E. Sixth St, Austin, TX 78702. LAF is a national not-for-profit fighting for the 28 million people around the globe affected by cancer.

4. How to Enter. There are two ways to enter.
(i) Via the web: Go to the official Trip Giveaway page located at www.livestrong.org/lancechance and follow the links and instructions to complete the online registration form and make a contribution to LAF during the Trip Giveaway Period to receive your entry(ies) ("chance"). An entrant will receive one (1) "chance" with each USD $11 contribution to the LAF, five (5) "chances" with each USD $55 contribution to the LAF and nine (9) "chances" with each contribution of USD $99 to the LAF. You may donate to LAF as many times as you wish during the Trip Giveaway Period, however, there is a limit of thirty (30) entries per person and per email address. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. In the event of any dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the individual to whom the e-mail address submitted with the entry is registered.

(ii) To Enter without Contribution, Purchase or Obligation: You may also enter without making a contribution to the LAF. To do so, hand-print your name, address, city, state, zip, email address, day and evening phone numbers, date of birth, and the words "LAF Trip Giveaway" on a 3" x 5" card, and mail in a stamped envelope to: Lance Armstrong Foundation, Attn: Online Promotion, 2201 E. Sixth St, Austin, TX 78702. Entries submitted by mail must be postmarked by 6/11/2009, and received by LAF by 6/15/2009. With each mail-in entry, entrant will receive one (1) chance. Only one mail-in entry per stamped outer envelope will be accepted. You may submit more than one entry by mail, however, there is a limit of thirty (30) entries per person and per email address regardless of method of entry.

Entries become the property of LAF and will not be returned. No mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, postage due or misdirected entries or mail or electronic communications. An entrant is not a winner unless and until the entrant's eligibility and the potential winning entry has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. Potentially winning entries will be verified by Sponsor, whose decisions to the administration and operation of the Trip Giveaway and the selection and validation of potential winner are final and binding in all matters related to the Trip Giveaway. Proof of sending entry will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.

5. Selection and Notification of Winner. Winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entries received, to be held at LAF Headquarters on or about 6/17/2009. Winner will be notified by e-mail at the e-mail address submitted with the entry on or about by 6/17/2009. To claim a prize, winner must follow the instructions contained in his or her notification. If potential winner cannot be contacted at this email address, is contacted and does not respond as directed within ten (10) days of attempted notification, refuses the prize or is ineligible to accept the prize, prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner selected in a random drawing from remaining eligible entries.

Winner will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and, except where prohibited, Liability/Publicity Release, in the form provided by Sponsor, within ten (10) days of attempted notification in order to claim prize. If winner is at least 18 years of age as required by these Official Rules, but a minor in his or her state of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of his or her parent or legal guardian, who will be responsible for signing all documents, affidavits, and releases. Potential winner may be required to show proof of identification within ten (10) days of attempted notification, or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

6. Prize. One (1) winner will receive a trip for two (2) (winner and guest) to Paris, France, July 19-26, 2009. Trip will include: Two (2) roundtrip economy/coach airfare tickets from a major commercial airport near winner's residence (winner and guest must travel together on same itinerary) (maximum value USD $3,000 for both tickets), and Nine (9) days and Eight (8) nights of lodging in a HomeAway Vacation Rental of Sponsor's choice, located in Paris (maximum value USD $3,800) for total approximate retail value: USD $6,800. Actual value of prize trip may vary depending on winner's residence and seasonal rates. Odds of winning prize depend on number of eligible entries received. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES AND ANY INTERNATIONAL TARRIFFS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER AND MUST BE REMITTED TO LAF PRIOR TO CLAIMING THE PRIZE. IN PARTICULAR, WINNER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMITTING TO LAF A FEDERAL WITHHOLDING TAX EQUAL TO 25% OF THE TOTAL APPROXIMATE VALUE OF THE PRIZE (28% IF WINNER FAILS TO PROVIDE LAF WITH A VALID TAXPAYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER). Prize claimed in accordance with these rules will be awarded. Prize is not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of prize or any component of prize will be permitted, except that LAF reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value. Prize is awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). Winner's guest must be at least 18 years of age prior to winner's taking the Trip unless winner is the parent or legal guardian of the guest. Winner's guest will be required to sign a Liability/Publicity Release fourteen (14) days prior to travel or guest will not be able to accompany winner during prize travel. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, included but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, passport visa or entry/exit fees, service charges, personal charges as lodging, taxes or other expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner. Sponsor will determine airline, flight itinerary and lodging in its sole discretion. If winner is unable to travel on such dates, prize will be forfeited in its entirety. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel and accommodation are subject to availability. Lodging and air transportation cannot be used separately. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Trip Giveaway, and those set forth by the airline carrier and lodging of Sponsor's choice. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, accommodation provider, or any other persons or companies providing any of these services and accommodations. Sponsor shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage. Winner and guest must hold valid documentation and any necessary passports for travel, and each is responsible for his or her own insurance arrangements.

7. Disclaimer. LAF, all participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, employees and agencies will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Trip Giveaway disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of LAF; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Trip Giveaway. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error.

8. General Release. By entering the Trip Giveaway, you release LAF, participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Trip Giveaway or acceptance, possession, use, misuse, travel to or from or in connection with the Trip Giveaway or any prize awarded (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. Entrants and winner assume sole liability and accept all risk of loss for injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in this Trip Giveaway or the acceptance, possession, shipping and handling, loss, use or misuse of, or travel to or from or in connection with the Trip Giveaway or any prize awarded.

9. Use of Winner's Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Trip Giveaway, entrants grant Sponsor a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable right, license, and permission to use winner's name, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any prize, except where prohibited by law, winner may be required to execute a consent to the use of his or her name, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.

10. Copyright Notice. The Trip Giveaway and all accompanying materials are copyright 2009 by LAF. All rights are reserved.

11. Disputes. Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Trip Giveaway or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state and federal courts in Travis County, Texas; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Trip Giveaway, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Trip Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

12. Miscellaneous. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of LAF, which are final and binding in all respects. Entrants agree to be contacted by Sponsor or its agents by telephone, mail or email regarding this Trip Giveaway. LAF reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Trip Giveaway or any entrant's participation in the Trip Giveaway should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond LAF's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Trip Giveaway or LAF otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Trip Giveaway as planned, in which event prize will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, tamper with the operation of the Trip Giveaway or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to LAF, the Trip Giveaway or any other entrant (in each case as determined in LAF's sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Trip Giveaway. LAF reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Trip Giveaway.
