Prior to becoming Vice President of Marketing and Communications for The Livestrong Foundation, Peterson worked in consumer marketing for several lifestyle brands for over 15 years.
At Red Bull, he held several leaderships positions in branding and marketing, most recently as Global Brand Integration Manager. In a previous role as Consumer Engagement Manager, he oversaw Red Bull's direct-to-consumer marketing programming for the Southeast United States.
Peterson brings to Livestrong extensive experience in developing and execution culturally impactful, 360-degree marketing campaigns that create compelling brand experiences. His work has integrated all faucets of marketing, including creative strategy, culture marketing, media production, sports marketing, athlete and influencer marketing, field marketing, and collegiate marketing.
At Livestrong he oversees all marketing and communication activities, with a focus on leading strategic creative direction, transforming content production, and optimizing channel marketing to empower emotional, powerful brand storytelling that moves people to act. He also serves as a member of the foundation's Executive Leadership Team.
Peterson graduated with honors from The University of St. Thomas In St. Paul, MN with Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising.
He has participated as a panelist or featured speaker at several conferences, including the MediaPost Brand Insider Summit.
