To me LIVESTRONG means helping others and never giving up.

Like so many of us at the Foundation, I have been personally affected by cancer. My mother was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma when I was two years old, and I'm happy to say she's been cancer free for over twenty years now. My father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma when I was eleven and sadly ran out of time after fighting for more than thirteen years. His courage and determination to live life on his terms inspired me during my own experience with melanoma at the age of fourteen. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my father and miss him terribly. I am constantly reminded of his passion for life and that is what drives me forward today. I am proud to be a part of the LIVESTRONG Foundation and Team LIVESTRONG. This fight is personal.
