To me LIVESTRONG means HOPE.

I'm running in memory of my cousin, Brandon Custer, who passed away on April 7, 2013 at the age of 33.  Brandon left behind a lovely wife, Allyson Goldstein, an unborn son, his parents, Debbie and Jim Custer, three sisters, and many others who loved him dearly.  He was diagnosed with brain cancer four years ago.  In his fight against cancer, Brandon endured three brain surgeries, chemo therapy, radiation therapy, special diets and many other treatments.

What amazes me the most about my cousin is how he continued to live his life as though he wasn't a cancer patient at all.  He ran two 1/2 marathons, biked from Seattle to Portland, traveled internationally as well as locally, went camping a week after his third surgery, and constantly hung out with friends and family.  In fact, he would hate that I'm talking about his cancer so much right now.

I will always be inspired by Brandon and Ally's strength and courage to live life fully, despite facing the one thing that people often fear the most - death.  I love my cousin and I miss him every day. Please, help me raise funds to bring hope to those who are fighting cancer.
