Livestrong Partners With Brobe to Offer Adaptive Clothing for Women

Proceeds of the Livestrong x Brobe Bundle to Benefit The Livestrong Foundation

AUSTIN, Texas – [September 9, 2020] – Livestrong, a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, is partnering with Brobe International to produce a special Livestrong-branded bundle of products to help women recovering from cancer surgery.

The Livestrong x Brobe Bundle includes the signature recovery robe (called a ‘Brobe’) with interior pockets to hold post op drains, a built-in bra to hold ice packs, and three-quarter sleeves for convenient access for chemotherapy. The robe was created by founder Allison Schickel to empower women to regain independence, peace of mind and dignity for a more comfortable recovery.

“We are honored to partner with Livestrong Foundation and give back to the mission, which we feel closely aligns with ours. I created Brobe almost a decade ago after a friend battling breast cancer needed something functional, yet beautiful, to wear after her breast surgery to hold her post op drains. Since then I’ve learned there are more than 17 million surgeries that leave patients with post op drains after surgery,” said Brobe International Founder & CEO Allison Schickel.

Also included in the Livestrong x Brobe Bundle is a post-surgical drain belt to hold post op drains when you shower, The Brobe’s Guide to Surgical Recovery, a Livestrong face mask and a custom tote.

The Bundle retails for $149.90 and is available for purchase at thebrobe.com. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of the bundle will benefit The Livestrong Foundation, whose mission is to develop programs and services that improve the daily lives of cancer survivors.

“Dealing with cancer treatment and it’s side effects can make anyone feel less than normal. The Recovery Brobe helps women facing recovery from breast cancer surgery face the day feeling beautiful,” said Livestrong Chief Strategic Solutions & Programs Officer Suzanne Stone. “Livestrong is always looking to improve the quality of life for anyone who is affected by cancer. Partnering with Brobe not only helps women who wear the robe, but gives back to the entire cancer community.”

About the Livestrong Foundation

For nearly 25 years, the Livestrong Foundation has served people affected by cancer, identifying the areas where patients and survivors aren’t supported, then investing in advocacy, programs and services that address their needs. As a result, today, more survivors are receiving the care they deserve. In 2020, Livestrong kicked off a new era of service, re-committing to exploring the new frontier in cancer care, where resources are lacking, and investing in new ways to fill those gaps.
